If We Don’t, Remember Me – Blade Runner

“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. … Time to die.”
Although i’m not the biggest fan of this new ‘cinemagraph’ movement, largely thanks to the deluge of derivative work it’s provoked, partnered with the claims of ‘discovering’ an already well-established medium, I do feel there’s some value to it when done well.
One such artist who continues to produce interesting and affecting work publishes under the name If We Don’t, Remember Me. Their work aims to capture key atmospheric, often elegiac, moments in film; some well-known, some that may have gone unnoticed, and here i’ve collated three of their Blade Runner images into a makeshift trilogy.
